My flight with Norwegian departed from Helsinki-Vantaa Airport at 5PM, and arrived in destination 7:10PM, almost right on time for sunset.
By the time the half hour bus trip reached City Centre, it was basically dark. That was fine, though, since I always enjoy night-time views of bigger cities.
I took the bus 747 towards Heuston Rail Station, and jumped out at O’Connell Street, thinking I got it after checking the street views on Google Maps. Well. I didn’t got it. I crossed the street and ended up standing in a street corner for at least fifteen minutes, not knowing where to go, trying to catch some WiFi to check out where my hostel was.
Turned out my hostel, Abbey Court, was literally behind the corner. I felt a bit stupid, but then again… How could I know that since I’ve never been there and the street looked a lot different on Google Maps? And I could’ve gone so much more wrong 😉
Have you ever thought you were lost, even it was right there the whole time?
